Christ our surety

I've heard the statement that "Christ is our surety" a few places. When I looked up the definition, I grew to love it.

According to Webster:

: one who has become legally liable for the debt, default, or failure in duty of another

Precious Christ! Our failures, our debts, our defaults against the sovereign, righteous, and holy God. Stamped with paid in full by the life and death of Jesus Christ. My life His and His life mine.
